‘Link in Bio’ Rumor Not True, Says Instagram Chief
‘Link in Bio’ Rumor Not True, Says Instagram Chief
The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has taken to the platform to address rumors that writing “link in bio” negatively affects reach.
Saying “link in bio” in a post is very common, as Instagram does not allow links in posts, but users can include them in the bio section of their profile.
There has been speculation that including a “link in bio” in a caption will reduce a post’s visibility. But Mosseri categorically says that the rumors are unfounded.
“You’re more than welcome to say ‘link in bio’, it will not affect your reach one way or the other,” Mosseri says in an Instagram post. “Adding a link to your bio can be super useful, I do it all the time, so please feel comfortable doing it as much as you like.”

Over 184 million passwords and account credentials from major companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, and others have been leaked in a massive data breach.
Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler found a database containing usernames, passwords, emails, and URLs for a wide range of apps and websites, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and more. The leak also exposed sensitive information from government sites, health platforms, and bank accounts.
What makes this breach especially dangerous is that the leaked file was not encrypted, meaning millions of pieces of personal data are available in plain text. Without any protection, cybercriminals can easily misuse this sensitive information.

OpenAI would 'maintain its lead' in AI
Jitesh Ubrani, a manager at market research firm IDC, told CNET that stepping into hardware could allow OpenAI to broaden its reach across multiple platforms and strengthen its presence in more everyday settings.
“By teaming up with a hardware startup, OpenAI can help secure its lead across different device categories and use cases,” Ubrani explained. “Before the rise of AI, innovation in smart home hardware had started to plateau. By joining forces, both companies could tap into new growth opportunities by bringing AI directly into the home.”
