Over 184 million passwords and account credentials from major companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, and others have been leaked in a massive data breach.
Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler found a database containing usernames, passwords, emails, and URLs for a wide range of apps and websites, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and more. The leak also exposed sensitive information from government sites, health platforms, and bank accounts.
What makes this breach especially dangerous is that the leaked file was not encrypted, meaning millions of pieces of personal data are available in plain text. Without any protection, cybercriminals can easily misuse this sensitive information.
